These affiliate opportunities may have larger dollars signs in the future, but for right now, we should have the expectation that it starts small.

Normally, most business owners wouldn't give out this information to just anyone, and definitely not for free. Amazon looks for potential affiliates who will be a value-add for Amazon customers. If you’re a passionate reviewer, stylist, content creator, business owner, or curator who would like to refer your audience to products on Amazon, you may be the right fit. Amazon looks for influencers and/or businesses who blog, post on social media, and possibly have a website to get approved as an Amazon Associate.
To apply for the program, you can click on the button below. This button starts you at the "Amazon Associate Central" home page. If you're approved to become an Amazon Affiliate, you'll be get approved as an Amazon Associate and you'll manage your affiliate settings here.
Once you complete your application and you're approved, Amazon will automatically connect your business and personal profile. There is no need to try to make two separate accounts, for example, one amazon account for personal and one for business. There is no need! Simply follow the steps SS is recommending here, and let Amazon do the rest!
You will need to log back into Amazon Associates Central, then finish your profile, and you should be good to go! Associates Central is the website you visit to track your clicks and see your commissions. You can log back into this website to see how many clicks and purchases you are earning as you market Amazon products.
Once you have completed your set-up, you are now able to promote Amazon products. You're officially an Amazon Associate! Congrats.
how To Promote Amazon Products
When you visit Amazon.com and shop like you normally would click on the product you are interested in. Now as an Amazon Associate, you will see a yellow strip on the top of the webpage. In the left corner, you will see a button that says "Get Link." Then highlight the link and copy it. You can share this link on your website, blog, via email, direct text, Facebook message, etc.

You can get links to any product sold on Amazon. You'll earn a 1-3% commission on most products. You don't have to sample all products before recommending them. Try to provide product links as examples for clients without saying you use them.
It's almost inevitable that people you send an Amazon link to will end up making a purchase within the next day. You will earn a commission on any purchase the person makes within the next day of clicking on your link, even if it's not the product you sent.
Getting Started Tips
To stay in the Amazon Associate Central Program, it is required to make a sale every ninety days. If you don't make a sale of at least a penny within three months, Amazon will remove you from the Amazon Associates Program. You will have to re-apply to have access again.
It's not about the money. Obviously, with a low commission rate, you'll make making cents on the dollar. The Affiliate Program is more about the business connection and ability to earn extra sales based on clicks than it is about getting paid.
You'll get paid after you make $100. Amazon only pays out after earning one hundred US dollars. You can watch your Amazon Associates bank grow over time in the Amazon Associates Central portal.
